Perfect Storm Quartet

Lisa, Bari - Cindy, Bass - Nicole, Lead - Jenn, Tenor

Perfect Storm Quartet is very proud to be the current Region 25 – Heart of America – 2nd place medalist and International Wildcard Quartet representing Emerald City Chorus and Sweet Adelines International. They are four women who share the same love of music and entertaining audiences in 4-part a cappella style. They will be competing at the Sweet Adelines International Competition this October in Las Vegas.

PERFECT STORM Lead, NICOLE EVANS has been involved with Sweet Adelines since she was 13 years old, or to be more precise since she was 9 months old. Her mother, co-director of Emerald City Chorus - Dana Evans, joined Sweet Adelines when Nicole was 9 months old. She literally has grown up singing barbershop. She currently serves the Emerald City Chorus as lead section leader and choreographer. In her outside life, Nicole is a 4th grade teacher at Cleaveland Traditional College and Career Readiness Magnet in Wichita. She has one handsome and wonderful son named Blaze. Nicole's passion is everything music. There is never a time when music isn't playing in her life.

The Smooth Bass of PERFECT STORM is sung by CINDY DUGGAN. Cindy serves as bass section leader for Emerald City Chorus and had been a Sweet Adeline for 26 years. In 1991, her mother enticed her to join the “Coronado Country Chorus” in Lyons with her. She worked for the Lyons Salt Company for twenty-eight years, eighteen of them underground as a drill operator. Cindy re-married in 2006 and moved to Andover. Her husband Wayne volunteers as the chorus Santa for the Christmas Season and is a Sweet Adeline groupie. Between them they have four children, Bill, Kara, Joshua and Chris, and nine grandchildren. She enjoys making handbags with her mom.

LISA MURRY, our PERFECT STORM Baritone has twenty-five years of barbershop experience and is a Certified Assistant Director for Emerald City Chorus as well as a lead section leader with Nicole.   She has served on the Sweet Adeline Regional level as faculty and Education Coordinator.  During the day she works for Wolterskluwer as a Senior Software Support Representative but music is her passion. She shares this passion with her jazz musician husband Ray.  She has two handsome sons, Ray and Tyler. Some of her favorite things are butterflies, pink daisies, and beautiful sunsets.

JENN HUFFMAN, the Tenor for PERFECT STORM, is current Communications Manager for Emerald City Chorus and joined Sweet Adelines in 2002 when she was 15. She spends much of her time working as Residential Coordinator for SE Enterprises with adults who are intellectually or developmentally disabled. She enjoys spending time with her family including her adorable nieces and handsome nephew. Jenn also enjoys helping people with their health issues by selling Plexus Worldwide products.
